story that Faith has told them, though as Keith is keen to get her back, Lars and the guys are adamant to keep hold of her as well. The longer that Faith stays with Lars, who incidentally has the safest place , the stronger the feelings they both develop for each other, even if they are not admitted, though with trust issues and bad attitudes, will both of them find their happy ever after.Written in both Lars and Faiths POV, this is a great addition to the Karma series and I highly recommend reading it, though I would suggest if you haven t already, read the Karma Series first, as it will makesense A fabulous addition to Donna Augustine s Karma series Could you even kill a dead girl OMG Dead Ink is a fabulous addition to Donna Augustine s Karma series It s listed as the fourth installment in that series, but it could also work as a standalone, if that is your preference However, there s no doubt that your enjoyment of Dead Ink will be multiplied exponentially, if you However, there s no doubt that your enjoyment of Dead Ink will be multiplied exponentially, if you have previously feasted on Donna s paranormal urban fantasy series Karma first You should know that I considered Karma such an incredible, highly imaginative series that I listed it in my top ten reads in CY2015 So It was truly a treat to revisit the Karma world as I dived headfirst into Lars and Faith s story Lars is Death aka the Grim Reaper He is also a talented tattoo artist and the owner of Dead Ink, a unique tattoo shop in a deranged and dangerous world rocked by chaos and riots If you have read the earlier books, you will remember Lars Fate had enlisted him to tattoo Karma to block the evil villains from being able to monitor her movements Lars is a cocky, quiet and brooding dark hero that you will undoubtedly want to drool over Lars universe is turned topsy turvy when Faith appears in his shop seeking asylum from Malokin and Keith, Malokin s second in command both extremely despicable characters Faith is in serious trouble and doesn t know where to turn for help She desperately needs a safe haven So she turns to Lars who scares her She can feel the danger rolling off of him, but she is also fiercely drawn to him Lars fights their chemistry tooth and nail Fate and Karma both make appearances in Dead Ink Yay I miss them so much I really, really hope that Donna returns to this world again withgreat stories I m not ready to let it go We get down and dirty with Lars best friends Cutty was my favorite of the bunch Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from Dead Ink The biggest question she had was how do you rebuild a life when you aren t a person any For someone who had died not long ago, she feltalive with him than ever She was slowly being overwhelmed by his scent, the feel of his hands on her and the taste of him His arms tightened around her until she felt almost weightless on her toes His lips moved along her neck and she heard the soft sigh of pleasure escape her lips and realized there was no choice for her to make She d already made it the day she d met him.Dead Ink has it all a steamy romance, a great plot line, delicious and snarky humor, thrilling suspense, dangerous fast paced action sequences, andDead Ink hit all the paranormal gritty urban fantasy romance notes for me Donna s writing makes the whole story so believable The characters seem alive The threats to them seem so real I hung on their every word Honestly, I could not put this book down staying up into the wee hours to finish it I cannot recommend the whole series enough If you are a fan of paranormal urban fantasy romances, do yourself a favor and dive into the Karma series My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club Please talking about his store. As in all Ms Augustine s books the dialogue is spot on It s always a pleasure when an author writes dialogue in such a way that it feels natural And because it does flow so well the characters come alive, another plus Which is especially true with one of Lars best friends, Cutty I Love Cutty Heck, I loved the book This is an easy book for me to Highly Recommend to anyone 18 and older thid author never fail. I have read the Karma series and was excited about Lars story I started reading and could not put down I found Lars super sexy which was interesting considering his old job.I really would like to see the other guys have a stories of their own This one wasromance with some Paranormal butromance I really enjoyed it I have liked all of Donna Augustine s books so looking forward tobooks to read |READ KINDLE ☥ Dead Ink ♍ Within the walls of his tattoo shop, Dead Ink, Lars hides in plain sight from the past he walked away from But he still battles every day with the dark urges that drove him from his position as the Grim Reaper Then Faith Dover appears, seeking his aid, and Lars discovers that he isn t as hardened as he thought On the run from her kidnapper, Faith stumbles into Dead Ink, towing in enough secrets and baggage to weigh down the dead But Lars isn t the savior she hopes him to be Dark and seductive, he might be dangerous than the people she s running fromWhen he discovers her suspicious ties to a crew of murderers, will he help her or cast her out to the craziness that has overtaken the world Can Faith win the heart of a soul incapable of trust A note from the author This is a companion romance novel that takes place in the Karma urban fantasy world It runs parallel to Fated s timeline It can be read alone or in addition to the series as the final book Genre Paranormal Romance Length , words Rules for Visiting Dead Ink Pois não Lars hides in plain sight from the past he walked away from But he still battles every day with the dark urges that drove him from his position as the Grim Reaper Then Faith Dover appears Kalagam Kadhal Isai seeking his aid The Anger Workbook for Women: How to Keep Your Anger from Undermining Your Self-Esteem, Your Emotional Balance, and Your Relationships (New Harbinger Self-Help Workbook) and Lars discovers that he isn t as hardened as he thought On the run from her kidnapper Naive Bride, Defiant Wife (Secretly Pregnant...Conveniently Wed, Faith stumbles into Dead Ink Blood Relations towing in enough secrets and baggage to weigh down the dead But Lars isn t the savior she hopes him to be Dark and seductive Jim Bridger "The Grand Old Man of the Rockies" (1922) he might be dangerous than the people she s running fromWhen he discovers her suspicious ties to a crew of murderers Ricanness will he help her or cast her out to the craziness that has overtaken the world Can Faith win the heart of a soul incapable of trust A note from the author This is a companion romance novel that takes place in the Karma urban fantasy world It runs parallel to Fated s timeline It can be read alone or in addition to the series as the final book Genre Paranormal Romance Length Some Came Desperate words 4.5 Love Augustine s work. other books That may be because the primary purpose of this book is that it is a romance novel, and doesn t have the plot or intrigue that her other books do I gave it four stars because it was written well and the author did a great job of making you feel things in the book I debated giving it a lower rating, however, simply due to the fact that I didn t like it Th NOT A LOVE STORYI wasn t rating, however, simply due to the fact that I didn t like it That felt unfair, so I figured I would give a spoilerish review instead, to explain my complicated feelings on this book I did not like Lars He was a selfish jerk And not a jerk in the classic he s a jerk to everyone but the Mc or he s a jerk but he learns that he was wrong way Nope Just a really, truly, deeply selfish person Faith wasweak Her character wasn t well developed, but what there was of it was weak, insecure and very, very dumb If we want to imagine that she was supposed to represent the idea of faith or hope, then I feel sorry for anyone who thinks that being faithful means being blind, stupid and afraid all the time Or having faith in another person instead of having faith in oneselfor even the universe.Which brings me to my final complaint about this book the reason I bothered to write this review because I felt like I had a duty to girls and women to say these words Ladies, this is not love If you read this book and think their relationship is romantic or healthy, that their coming together at the end is a HEA, then my heart hurts for you He has hurt and abandoned her over and over, giving her little scraps of attention and affection to make up for what amounts to emotional abuse He gives her a tiny little bit, then rips it from her so she can ponder what she can do to beattractive to him or what she can do to to salvage some aspect of their relationship When she grows a backbone and leaveswell, that s what makes him realize that he was wrong He doesn t want to be without her Mind you, this is still all about him and how HE feels Huge spoiler When he saves her from the psycho ex, he drops her at a friend s place and doesn t see her for a month When she finally wakes after three days, she discovers that all the guys have been worried and holding vigilall except Lars who is nowhere to be found You see, looking at her all mangled up made him feel guilty Clearly, we should feel so bad for him His feelings are SO important in this situation because the reason she was in a position to get abducted was because he had kicked her out of his apartment again, because he was a dick, pure and simple Poor guy, his feelings were just so upsetting that giving himself distance from her was muchimportant than making sure she isn t murdered He says it is because he wants to spare her having to see him, that he knows she blames him But that doesn t play out in actions He s avoiding his own guilt There is no real love in this book not romantic or otherwise, between the two mc s There is insecurity, fear, attraction, desperation, guilt and loneliness But, sadly, no love I wanted to step into Faith at the end and use her voice to ask Lars a few questions and set a few things straight When he said that he didn t come to see her for that month because he thought it would upset her, I would have asked what has changed Why is it okay to upset me now, when I finally have my life together and am healing emotionally, as well as physically His answer, of course, is that his FEELINGS areimportant than her well being, as always Love is a verb But Lars is hung up on himself and his own desires So while it would have made for a horrible romance novel, it would have been a hell of a lotempowering if when he said I love you she said very gently and firmly, No, you don t you don t really know how to love another person Please stay away and let me have a life that doesn t include you in it I mean, even at the end, he is taking her back to his apartment and thinking he is never letting her leave He doesn t even concede that she has a home and business that maybe he should integrate into versus expecting her to go back to being someone who has to fit into his life, not the other way around And that is sad, because I love HEA s but in this case, I felt like them ending up together just meant an eternity of misery for Faith Loved this one Wow I loved this one so much The emotion and feelings in it were over the top There were a few I guess typos, words that should have been different words but only a few I guess her editor wasn t feeling well or was in a hurry on
