well as letting us know what s happening to Diana and Kate s village in their absence The story ended on a very literal cliffhanger and I look forward to the next book to see how that is resolved Source I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read to review basis Thanks to author Casey HaysThe world is big, Ian continues, trapping me beneath his strong arm It may be scary, but you don t have to be afraid of it Not even when somebody is throwing knives at you,This was a YA dystopian sequel, picking up where the first left off.Kate was still a strong character in this book, and I thought it quite bad the way the boys had been lying to her about Eden See Source I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read to review basis Thanks to author Casey HaysThe world is big, known behind, they should have been truthful with her.The storyline in this was all about Kate, Ian and crew travelling from Kate s village to Eden, and Kate discovering that the boys had been lying to her about what Eden was really like along the way We did get a bit of action, and a very unfortunate death, but the pace was quite slow, and the book did drag in places. The ending to this was a giant cliff hanger And there was literally a cliff involved 7 out of 10 Oh, Caseyyou left me on a cliffhanger quite literally I was reading along, eyeing the time and the amount remaining in the bookand thinking, gee, there is a lot to wrap up , they have to start finding answers soonand the book ended, with a promise of a 3rd book to come While I m happy to not have to leave these special, but evenquestions are raised, both about Eden and the surrounding world these characters inhabit On the whole, this entire book was a journey for these charactersand kind of a bummer, with a lot of sad and or disturbing things happening along the way I would actually rate it 4 1 2 stars.I guess I will just have to patiently wait for the next installment and hope that Casey Hays writes FAST I was hoping this would have been as good as the 1st one It wasn t I was so bored by the end Kate was annoying as hell Ian was annoying as hell Nothing happened but a whole lot of walking Super disappointed It ended with a cliffhanger, even that can t make ke pick up the 3rd book.
